The Saltire Candlelight Concert: Rura & Joy Dunlop

An evening set in the beautiful Chalmers Memorial Church and lit only by candlelight, featuring beautiful music from Scotland's finest musicians - Rura and Joy Dunlop.

Built in 1904, the Chalmers Memorial Church in Port Seton is an outstanding Category A listed church building.  Many of its Arts and Crafts features remain virtually unchanged since that date.  Its carved timbers and unique, elaborate stencil work reflect the character of the fishing village of Port Seton and the history of the church.

Rura's exquisitely rugged yet refined blend of fiddle, Highland pipes, flute, bodhran and guitar has won a devoted following in many corners of the globe, amongst audiences and critics alike.

Joy Dunlop performs Gaelic music and song in a contemporary way that always remains true to its roots.
