Great activities to entertain you over the Christmas season.
East Lothian is the place to be for the best seasonal activities, entertainment and fun with so much going on throughout December into January. Here is a selection to give you a flavour of what's on offer.
Come along and meet Santa, who with the help of his elves, will be giving out presents to kids of all ages. Other activities include Winter Wonderland and live nativity.
Santa will be at the garden centre every Saturday & Sunday until Christmas between 11am-4pm. Pop in to his cozy grotto where you will be met by Holly the Elf! Activities and presents for children of all ages, while you're there to take time to stock up on Christmas goodies and gifts in the shop. And don't forget to visit the donkeys!

Join the elves at their busiest time of year, as they prepare for Christmas. Learn how to be a good elf and make some festive crafts and graduate from Elf School with a treat and certificate.
Whether you're looking for a Christmas escape or to treat yourself to some festive fayre, there's a great choice on offer at Carberry Tower. Not only that, but there's lots for the little ones too. Santa and his elves will be on hand to lead the fun!
Party with Santa at Merryhatton with games, entertainment, food & a visit from the man himself. Or visit him in his grotto while you browse in the Christmas shop.
Enter Archerfield Walled Garden's mystical fairy trail and get lost in a world of fairies, forest folk and folklore with wonderful surprises around every corner. Returning for the 2nd year, it's going to be bigger, brighter and bolder with flying fairies, fire performers, the famous Fairy Disco, dance performances, lighting & projection installations as well as interactive areas.
Fun filled panto, Jack & The Beanstalk with an up to date twist on the well-known story. Be prepared to laugh, sing and shout out. Heroes Jack and Jilly will make sure you have a good time - oh yes they will!!
The Brunton is the Place to Be on Monday 31st December to celebrate Hogmanay. The daylong event includes performances, family ceilidhs, lantern making, drumming workshops, storytelling & puppetry, art and craft activities, face painting & balloon making.
The day culminates in a stunning lantern parade and firework display lighting up the sky along the Musselburgh coastline. Must be booked in advance.
