What a great summer of golf we have had in East Lothian and itís not over yet! Our Young Digital Ambassadors, Charlotte McIntyre & Simon Robertson have been busy out on the course capturing some amazing images of Scotlandís Golf Coast.
Visitors flocked in their thousands to Gullane Golf Club in July for the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open & Ladies Scottish Open.
Next up is the Staysure Tour Scottish Senior Open. The legends of the game will return to the heartland of Scotlandís celebrated Golf Coast for the 4th successive year when Craigielaw Golf Club stages the 26th edition of the tournament, on the newly rebranded Staysure Tour from 14th-16th September.
The tournament will incorporate the popular Alliance format, with amateurs given the opportunity to play alongside the professional for the first two tournament rounds.
Welsh legend, Ian Woosnam, successful as a Ryder Cup player and captain heads a strong field that also includes Constantino Rocca, Phillip Price, Paul Eales & other championship winners competing for the title.
The year concludes with the 2018 LinkedGolfers World Hickory Festival returning for the 14th consecutive tournament from 21st-26th October.
This yearís Festival venues include Luffness New, Kilspindie & Gullane Golf Club and, for the first time, Longniddry, offering something different being half links and half parkland. All are ideally suited to the skills of hickory golf and will set challenges each, in their own different ways.
Looking ahead to 2019, we are delighted that the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open & Ladies Scottish Open returns to Scotlandís Golf Coast. The tournaments will be held for the first at the Renaissance Club. Look out for details in the New Year.
