Year of Coasts & Waters 2020
Alongside our stunning scenery, amazing attractions and wonderful wildlife, East Lothian will host an existing array of events throughout 2020 that will put our coasts and waters in the spotlight.
Take a look below at what events are on offer.
27th June-19th August - Scottish Ornithologists Club
An art exhibition inspired by the wildlife along our coasts, in particular coastal birds. The five participating artists: Liz Myhill, Adele Pound, Emily Ingrey-Counter, Helen Kennedy and Lorna Hamilton, won bursaries to take part in the Sea Bird Drawing Course, a prestigious professional development for wildlife artists.
8th-12th July - The Renaissance Club, North Berwick
Scotland's premier golfing event. Played on Scotland's Golf Coast at The Renaissance Club, North Berwick.
7th-16th August - North Berwick
Everything you want in a Fringe festival in the picturesque seaside town of North Berwick.
13th-16th August - The Renaissance Club, North Berwick
One of the top events on the Ladies European Tour played at The Renaissance Club on Scotland's Golf Coast.
12th-19th September - North Berwick
Learn how to talk like a pirate for international pirate's day on 19th, invade Fidra - the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island and take part in a treasure hunt.
11th-21st September - throughout East Lothian
Beautiful music in beautiful places.
17th & 18th October - Belhaven Surf School, Dunbar
Super relaxed surf event with local and international surfers showing the art of surf riding their longboards.
23rd-30th November - throughout East Lothian
Events celebrating St. Andrew's Day and East Lothian as birthplace of the Saltire.
One of a series of sailing events in North Berwick. A stunning spectacle of spectators and competitors.
July-Oct - throughout East Lothian
A series of wildlife and history themed events and walks aimed at adults who are interested in learning more about the history and natural history of East Lothian.
July-Sept - throughout East Lothian
A great way to explore the beautiful countryside discovering the nature, landscape and geology of the county - tours run on Wednesdays throughout the Summer!

Enjoy a guided wildlife journey by bike through wildflower meadows, sand dunes and woodland that grace this historic and geologically fascinating coastal landscape.
